Senate Housing Society: Important Update about New Plot Booking

We've covered the Senate housing scheme in Islamabad 2015 in our previous blog posts. In the client's best interests, we will be covering the important features of the housing society before posting the updates about the new plot booking in this housing project.

The official name of Senate Housing Society is Senate Secretariat Employees Cooperative Housing Society (SSECHS). Senate Housing Society was registered in Islamabad Capital Territory back in 1995, but the society failed to attain maturity. Lately, a special committee of the Senate of Pakistan replaced the old management of the society after it was found involved in corruption and funds embezzlement. The new management actively took charge of all affairs. Successive annual general meetings were held where the members who had invested in the society were updated on the development work and other progress.

While Senate Housing Society is not a fake or unapproved housing project in CDA's books, the society faced hurdles that obstructed the successful completion of this project.

Most glaringly, the Senate Housing Society, also known as Senate Avenue, lacked an approach road. In the last annual general meeting held in November 2015, society members were given the good news about new land acquisition by the society. Senate Housing Society signed an agreement with Fazal e Rabi Enterprises, which undertook the responsibility of securing road access for Senate Housing Society by merging neighboring land into the society. Under this project, two new blocks of Senate Housing Society will be developed in a period of 1 year. The two new blocks will provide direct access to Japan Road, which starts from Islamabad Expressway in Zone V of Islamabad.

Latest Update about Plot Booking in New Blocks of Senate Housing Society

We have received this information from authorized dealers of new plot bookings in Senate Housing Society. The plots were previously available under an installment plan. Currently, interested investors and families must pay the full amount of the plot in total. The installment quota has been fulfilled and is no longer available.

The project involves the development of limited number of 7-marla plots in two new blocks of the society. The plots were launched at very lucrative rates below the market price. A flexible installment plan made the plot even more affordable. The total cost of plot is Rs 12,50,000. Down payment of plot was Rs 375,000 whereas the remaining amount was to be paid in 6 quarterly installments of Rs 145,833.

However, this option is now cancelled because the quota for installment plots is over. If you are interested in booking a plot in the new block of Senate Housing Society, you are required to pay the total cost of plot in one lumpsum payment. However, there is 10% relaxation fee that will be waived off from the total cost of Rs 12,50,000 at the time of payment.
